In Camarillo, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in California, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Camarillo is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Camarillo follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Alonso was so great and helped bring my plant back to life! He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to teach me how to properly water it and what to do when it’s time for the next repotting. He answered all my questions, and on top of that, he did everything for free. I really appreciate his kindness and expertise. Highly recommend! 🌿

My husband & I absolutely love this place! The selection of plants is phenomenal & the customer service at Camarillo Nursery was the best we’ve ever received from any plant seller. Alonso was so knowledgeable & helpful; he even included a cutting, along with seeds, for free! I highly recommend you come here for any/all plant needs!

Kind, family run business that has a wide selection of unique and healthy plants. Many shade loving ferns and tropical varieties. I was looking for Feather Grass and found it here!!! So happy. Good prices too.

I’m not a gardener so I rarely ever visit nurseries, but I was in need of some orchid bark for an old and now struggling monstera and snake plant that we have and saw these positive reviews - sometime mentioned that they have soil amendments so I came here. It was actually a very nice experience here. I already have various different succulents and aloe plant which are all thriving and HUGE so I used the bark to prepare a DIY mix to repot a few plants we’ve had and new succulents I got from Camarillo Nursery. I couldn’t resist the urge to buy some of these cute succulents from here hahah The place is huge (I think) and the staff were very friendly and helpful - especially Alonso! He welcomed me back and informed me about some special events they have. I’d love to come back and if you’re not too far from Camarillo and need a nursery or supplies for your existing plants come over and check this place out.

This is such a great nursery to visit for indoor and outdoor plants! Finally got to visit today since I’m entering my plant mom era and I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of plants and great price points. I walked out with two new indoor plants, but got a lot of new ideas for our future outdoor landscaping projects. Al is extremely passionate and knowledgeable in his craft and made our experience 10/10. Looking forward to my next trip back for more and I would definitely recommend this nursery to all family and friends!
